Joo Jin-mo's Mobile Phone Hacking Damage Spreads... Wife Min Hye-yeon Closes SNS

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Actor Joo Jin-mo's side announced that they will "continue legal action" regarding the hacking of his mobile phone, while his wife Min Hyeyeon deleted her social network service (SNS) account.

Earlier on the 10th, KakaoTalk messages and text messages presumed to be conversations between Joo Jin-mo and acquaintances rapidly spread on some internet communities.

Amid the controversy, it was reported that Min deleted her Instagram account on the same day.

Previously, on the 7th, Joo Jin-mo's agency, Vibe Brothers Korea, stated, "We have confirmed that Joo Jin-mo's mobile phone was recently hacked," adding, "In relation to this, there were malicious threats to disclose private materials to media outlets because he is a celebrity, along with demands for money."

They continued, "We clearly state that we will take strong legal action without leniency against acts threatening the artist, including privacy invasion and threats related to this case, and we will continue to do our best to protect the artist."
