Lotte Mart Introduces 'Eco-friendly Hanwoo & Aged Hanwoo' Lunar New Year Gift Sets

Last year, Lotte Mart's eco-friendly Korean beef gift sets recorded a high growth rate of over 120% during the Lunar New Year holiday. The newly introduced aged Korean beef gift sets were also very popular, selling out all prepared quantities. Accordingly, Lotte Mart has significantly increased the number of related product items.

Lotte Mart sells the brand ‘Jirisan Sunwoo Hanwoo,’ which has received premium certification for three consecutive years at the livestock competition. This product is carefully selected only from eco-friendly (antibiotic-free) Jirisan Sunwoo Hanwoo raised in a clean area, with a grade of 1+ or higher.

Additionally, a Lotte Mart Korean beef product planner, who has obtained the qualification of Hanwoo Maechamin, directly auctions and purchases Korean beef at Eumseong and Bucheon wholesale markets to improve quality and reduce intermediate distribution margins, offering aged Korean beef that has been cold-aged.

The aged Korean beef is cold-aged for more than 20 days in Lotte Mart’s exclusive aging room and produced at the Fresh Quality Innovation Center, a HACCP-certified facility, enhancing product safety.

Furthermore, Lotte Mart offers a limited quantity of 50 sets of the rare native Korean cattle ‘Hoban Chikso Hanwoo Set (Chikso sirloin 500g*2, striploin and tenderloin 400g each)’ for 348,000 KRW. Chikso is characterized by its tender meat quality and high oleic acid content in its fatty acids, giving it a savory flavor.
