[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Singer Gary and his son are joining 'KBS The Return of Superman' as new family members.

An official from a broadcasting entertainment department told Ilgan Sports on the 7th, "Gary is scheduled to film KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman' later this month. It is not a one-time appearance but a regular cast role. Gary's episodes are expected to air in early next month."

Since his debut in 1997, Gary has been active in variety shows, gaining much love both domestically and internationally. However, since October 2016, he has rarely appeared on broadcasts, drawing public attention.

Then, in April 2017, Gary announced his marriage and naturally took a break. Although he updated fans on his Instagram (SNS) and other platforms, this is his first official broadcast appearance in about three years.

Gary's 26-month-old son's name is known to be 'Kang Hao.' Especially resembling his father, he loves music and enjoys singing as a hobby.

Gary is also expected to show his doting father side. Interest is growing in what motivated Gary, who devoted himself solely to parenting for three years, to decide to appear, and why he was absent from broadcasts during that time.

Meanwhile, the 'Superman' team stated, "'Dad' Gary will not only show his doting father side but also reveal a different side of the 'rapper' Gary we have seen so far, all out of his affection for Hao."
