The National Intangible Heritage Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 7th that it will sign a business agreement with local governments designated as the 'Intangible Heritage Cities of the Year' starting from the 9th. The cities are Daejeon, Yangju, Pyeongchang, Buyeo, and Jindo. The agreement aims to encourage the discovery and transmission of intangible heritage and to promote the self-sustainability of local intangible heritage based on this. This includes ▲ cataloging and documenting ▲ publishing books ▲ performances linked to local festivals based on intangible heritage. The National Intangible Heritage Center stated, “Unlike previous years, the target has been expanded from one city/county to five cities/counties, and we plan to accelerate the revitalization of intangible heritage nationwide.”
