[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A nurse in Vietnam died after drinking bubble tea that was delivered to someone else. It was investigated that the bubble tea contained cyanide.

Vietnamese online media VN Express reported on the 2nd (local time) that it was revealed that a nurse who died last year at a hospital in Vietnam was murdered by cyanide poison.

According to the report, local police announced on the 1st that the cause of death of nurse Nguyen Thi Han (29), who died last month at a hospital in northern Thai Binh Province, was cyanide.

At the time, the victim's family reportedly refused an autopsy, claiming the cause of death was a stroke.

After further investigation, the police booked Thi Kieu Trang (25) on murder charges on the 27th of the same month.

According to the police, Trang was found to have had a conflict over a love affair issue with her nephew A, who worked at the same hospital as Han.

Trang decided to kill her nephew and purchased cyanide online. On the 2nd of last month, she bought six cups of bubble tea and poured cyanide into four of them.

She had someone else deceive A by saying the bubble tea was a gift of appreciation sent by hospital patients and sent it to A, who was at the hospital.

However, when the bubble tea was delivered, A was absent, and Han is believed to have stored it in the refrigerator instead.

Han drank one of the cups the next day and reportedly died immediately.

The police conducted an autopsy based on Trang's statement on the 31st of last month and confirmed that the cause of death was cyanide.
