A short teaser hinting 2PM member Wooyoung launching his solo activities has been unleashed.
In the 21-second teaser video uploaded onto the group's official YouTube channel today, Wooyoung is seen with light blonde hair with a heavy bass beat playing in the background. The teaser clip ends with the release date written of his single, July 8.
His upcoming activities will make him the second member in the group to pursue a solo singing career, following the main vocalist Junsu, who released his solo track "Alive" during the group's Asia tour last year.
Alongside girl group SISTAR, who will be returning with new summer album, Wooyoung will also be staging his solo debut performance at the 2012 Mnet 20's Choice Awards to be held in Seoul, tomorrow evening.
Wooyoung made his debut in the six-member boy band 2PM in 2008 with other members, Nichkhun, Chansung, Junho and Taecyeon.
The group has produced a number of No. 1 hit songs including "10 Out of 10," "Again&Again," "Tired of Waiting" and "Heartbeat."
The boys have been focusing on their singing activities in Japan with the release of their fourth Japanese single "Beautiful" and recently wrapped up their concerts there.
