Three-member group JYJ is launching a large-scale exhibition in Seoul in June, their agency C-JeS Entertainment announced through a press release on Thursday.
Titled the "2012 JYJ Membership Week," the group will rent a large convention center to hold the group’s exhibition under various themes, as well as two sets of fan meetings that invite 15,000 members from their Korean and Japanese fan clubs to Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention in Seoul from June 28 to July 1.
"We decided to hold this event in order to repay JYJ fans in Korea and overseas for always showing their continuous support to the members," C-JeS' C.E.O Back Chang-ju said in the release.
Being part of the four-day program, JYJ's fan meeting will be held twice on different dates and randomly select 7,000 people each from their Korean and Japanese fan clubs, an official from JYJ told 10Asia over a short telephone interview.
During the four days, a photo exhibition, food zone with menus selected by JYJ, fan art competition, JYJ trick art and sticker booths will be prepared, while more details are to be announced on a later date.
“We’re so excited about the festival with our fans and we’ll actively participate in preparing the programs by pitching ideas whenever we come up with something,” JYJ added in the statement.
The members are concurrently pursuing their solo careers in musicals and dramas.
Kim Jaejoong will appear in MBC's "Time Slip Dr. Jin," which will hit the airwaves in June or July, while Park Yuchun is playing the male lead in SBS' "Rooftop Prince."
Meanwhile, Kim Junsu has been playing Der Tod in "Elisabeth" after wrapping up his role in musical "Mozart" last year.
