The artists of top Korean agency SM Entertainment will hold a concert in New York in October.
On Wednesday, SM Entertainment announced in a press release that their artists will take their SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR to the prestigious Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on October 23.
The artists of SM will follow in the footsteps of some of the biggest international stars who have performed at Madison Square Garden including the late Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
Singer and actor Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoon, was the first Korean to hold a concert at the famed venue. Singer and producer Park Jin-young, who discovered Rain, has also performed at Madison Square Garden.
SMTOWN's shows, featuring group and joint performances by SM's artists TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee and f(x), has already been held in front of thousands of fans in Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai and Paris.
They are scheduled to take to the stage at Tokyo's prestigious Tokyo Dome on September 2, 3 and 4 for their "SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION."
