KARA to release 4th Japanese single this month

Female idol group KARA is set to release a new album in Japan later this month, according to a Japanese daily paper on Thursday.

Sankei Sports reported today that KARA's fourth Japanese single “GO GO Summer!” will hit stores on June 29.

The album’s title track of the same name, which will be a fast tempo summer song, has also been adopted as the theme song to the commercial for LG Electronics' Smartphone “Optimus bright L- 07C” which the girls endorse in Japan.

The upcoming album will also be composed of tracks “Girls Be Ambitious” and the instrumental versions for both songs while being released in three limited editions - “Limited Edition A” composed of a CD and DVD with the DVD containing a music clip, a short dance version and behind-the-scenes clip of the title track, “Limited Edition B” made up of a CD and a photobook and “Limited Edition C,” a CD and bonus track “To Me” which is a Korean song.

KARA, composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole that debuted in 2007, is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.

Last April, they became the first foreign female group in the Oricon's 43-year history to top the prestigious chart in the first week of releasing a single with their third Japanese single "JET COASTER LOVE," in addition to the numerous feats they achieved in Japan when they first crossed over into the market,
