TVXQ’s “Before U Go” takes double crown in live TV chart

TVXQ’s new title song “Before U Go” was crowned the winner on both KBS and SBS’s weekend music shows.

“Before U Go,” the title track to the duo group’s repackaged fifth album “Why (Keep Your Head Down),” took first place on the live music shows of KBS’ “Music Bank” and SBS’ “Inkigayo,” on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

The song, whose lyric is about a guy who pleads the leaving girl him to at least remember him as someone who truly loved her, is an R&B ballad that highlights the vocals of the two members.

In their acceptance speech, Max Changmin personally called out names of people he felt grateful to while U-Know Yunho expressed his thanks to his agency SM Entertainment for helping them get where he is.

The team also mentioned their fan club Cassiopeia, thanking them for waiting for them during two-year-long hiatus and promising to keep their performance up.

Meanwhile, other singers that also performed in both weekend shows included CNBLUE, G.NA, INFINITE, Dalmatian, Wheesung, ZE:A, K.will, Lee Hyun, Chi-Chi and Big Bang
