Korean idols MBLAQ are gearing up to make their singing debut in Japan by opening their official Japanese website (http://www.mblaq.jp/index2.php).
The webpage indicated that the five-member boy band will make their official debut into the Japanese music scene on May 4 followed by a tour.
"We have been preparing for MBLAQ's debut into Japan since last year and they have signed with major music company Sony Music Records for it," a PR official from their local agency J.Tune Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Friday.
She went onto explain that the group will kick off their activities in Japan in early May while the debut album will be released sometime in April. "We are still in the planning stages for a city tour but nothing has been finalized as of yet."
Meanwhile, MBLAQ will unveil the 3D edition of their first full-length album "BLAQ Style" -- composed of their 13 tracks as well as three new songs -- on February 22.
Composed of members Seung-ho, G.O., Lee Joon, Chun-dung and Mir, MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) made their debut in 2009 with their single album "JUST BLAQ" and followed it up with their second single "Y" in May 2009.
The boys have been promoting their first album "BLAQ Style" and the title track "Stay" which has topped various online and offline music websites since its release on January 10.
