Jang Woo-hyuk signs with Chinese entertainment company


Former H.O.T boy band member Jang Woo-hyuk has signed with a Chinese entertainment company and will resume his activities in China.


At a press conference held Thursday, the singer signed a contract with one of the biggest entertainment companies in China, the Huayi Brothers Media Group.

In attendance at the signing was the chairman of directors Wang Zhong-jun who presented Jang with a rare and precious horse figurine. About 100 TV broadcasting companies, newspaper, magazine and online reporters were present to cover the event.


Jang went on to explain more about his future endeavors in China. "Preparations for my countrywide concert is going smoothly and I want to show my fans in China the best. I will continue my activities in Korea too, releasing a new album soon."

The 32-year-old singer debuted in the now-disbanded five-member group H.O.T. in 1996. He returned to the music scene as part of the project trio JTL in 2002. He then kicked off his solo career in 2005 and has ventured into other Asian countries.
