MBLAQ Cheon Dung diagnosed with influenza

Boy band MBLAQ member Cheon Dung, also younger brother of girl group 2NE1 member Sandara Park, has been infected with the influenza flu virus, according to his agency on Thursday.An official at J.Tune Entertainment said the 19-year-old singer had visited the hospital yesterday after showing symptoms of a cold including coughing and a fever and was diagnosed with the flu today.The official added that Cheon Dung and another group member Lee Jun, who was diagnosed with the flu yesterday, are both currently being treated and resting at the same hospital.The test results for the remaining members of the group, who have also been showing symptoms of a cold, are set to come out tomorrow, explained the official, adding that it is unlikely they have the influenza flu since they do not have fevers.MBLAQ is unlikely to appear on stage for the time being with two of its five-member band down with the flu.Created and trained by Asian superstar Rain for two years, the group has been popular since their debut in mid-October, topping singles charts and landing TV commercials.Reporter : Park Kun-ouc kun1112@asiae.co.krEditor : Jessica Kim jesskim@asiae.co.kr<ⓒ10Asia All rights reserved>
