Seongnam-si (Mayor Shin Sangjin) announced on the 26th that it has completed the procedures for the "Public Notice on the Decision of Urban Planning Facility (Road) for Sasong 1-tong" to resolve the residents' chronic inconvenience in commuting in the Sasong-dong area of Sujeong-gu.
Accordingly, the legal and institutional foundation has been established for the road construction work in the Sasong 1-tong section, where state-owned/public land and privately owned land are currently mixed.
The designated road will have a total length of 375 meters and a width ranging from 6 to 15 meters.
A total of 33 land parcels (20 state- or city-owned parcels and 13 privately owned parcels) will be incorporated into the road, bringing the total road area to 3,065 square meters.
Of the total road area of 3,065 square meters, 845 square meters (27.5%) is water supply land owned by the state.
Regarding the section that includes this water supply land, the Gyeonggi Southeast Regional Branch of Korea Water Resources Corporation has agreed to cooperate with administrative procedures such as granting permission for the use of state-owned property, which will accelerate the promotion of the road construction project.
The city will obtain approval for the detailed road implementation plan and carry out the detailed design service for the road construction during the first half of this year. After completing the land compensation procedures, it will begin the road construction work.
The total project cost for the road construction is estimated at 3.865 billion won, including 2.8 billion won for land acquisition.
An official from Seongnam-si said, "Since the road construction work will take a long time, we plan to minimize inconvenience to residents by first purchasing land where walls or fences have been installed that cause inconvenience to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and then creating temporary roads or walkways."
