Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground in Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do to Open on April 1...Reservations Accepted from March

The Suwon Campground in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do will open on April 1.


The Suwon City Government announced on the 26th that Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground (13 Gwangseok-gil, Myeongho-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do), which had been closed for the winter season, will begin accepting reservations for April stays starting March 1.


Reservations can be made on the Campingtalk app website (www.campingtalk.me).


Fifty percent of all facilities will be allocated by lottery with priority given to residents of Suwon and Bonghwa-gun. The remaining 50% will be allocated by random lottery.


The winners will be announced at 10:00 a.m. on the 16th. Reservations will be confirmed only if payment is completed within 24 hours after the announcement. Any remaining facilities that have not been reserved will be available for first-come, first-served reservation applications starting at 11:00 a.m. on March 17.


Residents of Suwon, residents of Bonghwa-gun, recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, national merit awardees, persons with disabilities, and families with multiple children will receive a 50% discount on campground fees.


Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do is equipped with 12 auto camping sites, including 9 deck camping sites and 3 gravel camping sites, as well as 18 lodging facilities, including six caravans for six people, five Easy-ya camps (mini caravans), and seven glamping units.

The site also offers landscaping and play facilities such as a garden path, ground fountain, playground, lawn yard (nature playground), and observation deck; auxiliary facilities such as restrooms, showers, dishwashing stations, washrooms, and a Suwon City promotion center; and convenience facilities such as parasols and private fire pits.


Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground runs a variety of programs in which visitors can participate. This year, it plans to offer programs such as Cheongryangsan yoga & meditation therapy; making handmade fruit syrup using Bonghwa specialty products; the Cheongryang Lifestyle Woodworking Class (wood speakers, etc.); and season-specialized programs (spring: succulents and terrariums; summer: constellation lanterns; fall and winter: making red bean hand warmers).


Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground, the fruit of a win-win cooperation between Suwon City and Bonghwa-gun, opened on October 22 last year.


A Suwon City official said, "During the winter closure period, we conducted a comprehensive inspection of the facilities to create a safe and pleasant camping environment," adding, "We hope many citizens will visit Cheongryangsan Suwon Campground, where they can enjoy rest and leisure in nature."
