The locations (and sizes) where Uridongne Jiwonsil will be installed are as follows: the second floor (30 square meters) of Taepyeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Sujeong District; the second floor (20 square meters) of Seongnam-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Jungwon District; and Room 112 on the first floor (38 square meters) of the No. 10 Public Parking Lot in Eunaeng 2-dong, Jungwon District.

These three Uridongne Jiwonsil offices were created by utilizing vacant spaces in the respective buildings or through remodeling.

Each support office will have two clerks (fixed-term workers) on duty from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

They will provide practical, everyday services for residents, including simple home repairs such as replacing light bulbs and faucets for vulnerable groups with mobility difficulties, as well as lending tools such as screwdrivers and electric drills, and items like parasols and umbrellas.

They will also receive reports of everyday inconveniences from local residents, help resolve issues within the scope that the clerks can support, and coordinate and provide assistance in connection with relevant agencies or related departments at City Hall.

An official from Seongnam City said, “We installed Uridongne Jiwonsil at three locations selected after comprehensively considering residents’ accessibility and the availability of public spaces where such facilities could be installed, with the aim of providing residents living in detached houses and multi-family houses with the same level of everyday convenience as apartment residents.”
