Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwangdeok Makes Proposal to Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dongyeon
Calls for Swift Implementation of Key Transportation Measures, Including Extension of Line 9

On the 25th, Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province attended Governor Kim Dongyeon's on-site visit for people's livelihoods in Gyeonggi Province, the "Daldal Bus Season 2" town hall meeting held at the Gyeonggi Unity Community in Dasan-dong, to discuss local pending issues and proposed the swift implementation of key transportation measures in preparation for the move-in to the third-phase new towns.

This event was held as the first visit of "Daldal Bus Season 2," during which the governor of Gyeonggi Province tours all 31 cities and counties in the province to listen to local issues. It was promoted to share the vision for Gyeonggi-style public housing in line with the central government's housing supply plan.
About 70 people attended the event, including Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dongyeon, GH Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation President Kim Yongjin, provincial and city council members from the area, experts from various fields, and local residents. Participants freely exchanged opinions on the direction of regional development and ways to improve residential conditions, creating a heated atmosphere.
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stressed, "If transportation infrastructure is not built in time when the move-in to the third-phase new towns goes into full swing, it will inevitably cause great inconvenience to citizens," and added, "We request active support and cooperation from Gyeonggi Province so that key transportation measures, including the extension of Subway Line 9, can be provided in a timely manner in line with the move-in schedule."

An official from Namyangju City stated, "Going forward, we will work closely with Gyeonggi Province and related agencies to steadily promote transportation and living infrastructure in preparation for the move-in to the third-phase new towns, thereby strengthening the foundation for a self-sufficient, citizen-centered city."
