Gyeongbok University held a launch ceremony and signed a memorandum of understanding for the "Gyeonggi RISE Future Growth Industry-Leading Junior Colleges Council" with Osan University and Daelim University on the 25th.
Under the agreement, the three universities will work together to: jointly establish cooperation strategies in the future growth industry (G7) sector; jointly design, develop, and operate an industry-academia-research platform system; advance the integrated management of detailed RISE programs and their performance management system; and jointly utilize resources between universities while expanding their cooperation network.
In particular, the jointly developed industry-academia-research platform will serve as core infrastructure that connects local governments, universities, industries, and research institutions, and will provide integrated support for nurturing talent in the future growth industry (G7) sector, operating industry-academia cooperation programs, managing outcomes, and supporting data-based policy-making.

Gyeongbok University expects that this collaboration will go beyond building separate systems at each university and will generate tangible benefits such as reducing development costs through joint design and improving overall system completeness.
It also expects that the joint use of human and material resources will contribute to building a sustainable operational model.
President Jeon Jiyong of Gyeongbok University said, "The future growth industry (G7) sector is the key driving force behind regional innovation," adding, "This council is not simply a gathering for a project, but an innovation model in which junior colleges in Gyeonggi-do move as a single organism and lead the development of local industries."
