"Magonjeol" Muekkreop Mara Konjac Jelly Sets Sights on Korean Market

"Marakonyak Jelly" is making a full-fledged push into the Korean market. Following strong sales at local convenience stores and hypermarkets in Thailand, it is now reaching Korean consumers through official distribution channels.

"Muekkreop Mara Konjac Jelly" is a snack-type jelly product based on konjac, characterized by its low calorie content of less than 42 kcal per 50 g pouch. It has been developed so that consumers can enjoy the distinctive numbing spiciness of mala with relatively little burden, while delivering both a chewy texture and an intense, stimulating flavor.

Its individual packaging makes it easy to carry in a bag or pocket, and it can also be used by adding it to cup noodles to enhance them with a unique mala flavor.

The product is sold through various distribution channels in Thailand, including 7-Eleven convenience stores, hypermarkets, and online shopping malls, and has become so popular that it has even experienced stockouts. In January 2026, it received the Superior Taste Award at the "2026 Brussels International Taste Institute Awards," where chefs, sommeliers, and other taste experts evaluate flavor and completeness through blind testing.

In December 2025, at the invitation of the Royal Thai Embassy, Globus Korea Co., Ltd., the exclusive importer for Korea, attended Thailand's National Day event and announced the product's official launch in the Korean market.

Currently, "Muekkreop Mara Konjac Jelly" is available in Korea at offline Kyobo Bookstore locations, as well as through the importer’s official stores on online platforms Naver and Coupang.
