New Beam Projector and New Content
A Preview of a Feast of Light and Music
Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province announced that, after completing facility inspections and security measures such as replacing the high-resolution beam projector and introducing new content, it will resume performances of the "Hwasun Kkotganggil Music Fountain Show" from March 13.
This year, the music fountain will be operated in the same way as last year. Regular performances will be held once a day on weekdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and twice a day on Saturdays. During various festivals and events, special performances will be staged regardless of the day of the week.
Depending on the sunset time, performances will start at 7:00 p.m. in spring (March to April) and autumn (October to November), and at 8:00 p.m. in summer (May to September). The schedule will be operated flexibly according to weather conditions.
In particular, in connection with the 2026 Hwasun Spring Flower Festival, which will be held from April 17 to 26, the program is designed so that visitors can enjoy the golden rapeseed flower scenery of Kkotganggil during the day and the splendid night view of the music fountain at night.
Lee Maengwoo, head of the Facility Management Office, said, "We will do our best in the operation so that the newly refurbished music fountain becomes a landmark that offers rest and inspiration to both residents and tourists."
Meanwhile, the Hwasun Kkotganggil music fountain offers a variety of attractions, including a walking trail harmonized with flowers that match each season, the beautiful night view from the Gaemisan Observatory, and various events and busking performances, and it is establishing itself as a leading local tourism content.
