People Power Party Recruits Local Election Talents... Accountant Son Junghwa and Nuclear Power Engineer Jeong Jinwoo

The People Power Party has recruited its first and second key talents ahead of the June 3 local elections. Party leader Jang Donghyuk said, "Bringing in these two young talents is the People Power Party's promise that we will reach out to the public with a new image," adding, "I hope that this victory our party creates will become the starting point for change."

On the morning of the 25th at the National Assembly, People Power Party Talent Recruitment Committee Chairman Cho Jeonghun announced at a welcoming ceremony for regional development talent that the party would recruit Son Junghwa, a partner at Samil PwC, and Jeong Jinwoo, a nuclear power engineer and manager at Hyundai Engineering, as its No. 1 and No. 2 candidates for the local elections.

Chairman Cho said, "Accountant Son has worked as a certified public accountant for 20 years and is a talent who has directly confirmed, through experience in local government finance, how taxes are executed in the field and in what structures they are distorted," adding, "Manager Jeong is also someone who has personally devoted himself on the front lines of the power industry ecosystem to the nuclear power generation industry of the Republic of Korea."

Representative Jang said, "Despite the fact that people’s livelihoods are on the edge of a cliff due to high inflation, a strong won, and a direct hit from the real estate market, the reality is that the public is still reluctant to give their hearts to our party," adding, "This is because we have fallen short. We must reach out to the people with a new image."

Jang went on to say of the newly recruited talents, "They are capable individuals who understand the realities of people’s livelihoods and can propose solutions, and they are strong fighters who can stand firmly on the side of the people and confidently confront the administration," adding, "We will foster them as key players in our party’s innovation."
