Kyobo Securities announced on the 25th that it held a scholarship presentation ceremony for the fifth cohort of the "Dream Up" program for young adults preparing for self-reliance in the main conference room on the 15th floor of its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
The event was attended by Lee Seokgi, CEO of Kyobo Securities, Suh Seonggu, chair of Dream Makers, as well as the selected scholarship recipients and representatives from partner organizations.
"Dream Up" is Kyobo Securities' future generation development program designed to support the stable social settlement of young adults preparing for self-reliance, and this year marks its fifth run.
Each selected scholarship recipient receives a scholarship of 3 million won. The financial support is used for purposes such as academic studies, obtaining certifications, and preparing for employment, as well as for self-development and stabilizing daily life.
Kyobo Securities has been selecting candidates through recommendations from related institutions and open recruitment, and so far it has provided scholarships totaling around 100 million won to 41 young adults preparing for self-reliance.
CEO Lee Seokgi said, "I hope that young people will not give up on their dreams for economic reasons," adding, "We will continue to show consistent interest and support so that young adults preparing for self-reliance can grow into key members of our society."
