SK Ecoplant and its high-tech plant subsidiary SK Eco Engineering announced on the 25th that they held the 3rd master's degree conferment ceremony for the Department of High-Tech Solutions at the Samsung Academic Information Center on the Natural Sciences Campus of Sungkyunkwan University in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.

The Department of High-Tech Solutions is an officially accredited master's program by the Ministry of Education, established in 2022 through collaboration between SK Ecoplant, SK Eco Engineering, and Sungkyunkwan University. Going beyond simple commissioned training, it is operated as a capability-building program for employees that allows them to obtain an official Master of Engineering degree upon graduation.

The curriculum focuses on core technologies related to high-tech construction engineering, including the construction of semiconductor fabrication facilities (FAB), as well as specialized competencies in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), building information modeling (BIM), and digital twins.

The eight graduates of this 3rd cohort have been assigned to semiconductor-related field positions and are currently carrying out their work. The 11 graduates of the 2nd cohort, who completed the program last year, are also engaged in practical roles in business divisions related to semiconductors and AI data centers. The 4th cohort is currently underway, and selection for the 5th cohort is scheduled for the first half of this year.

An SK Ecoplant official said, "Specialized talent is a key asset for achieving our vision as an AI infrastructure solutions provider," adding, "We will deploy personnel who combine practical experience and theoretical knowledge across our core business divisions, and thereby expand a positive impact throughout the organization that is centered on expertise."
