NH-Amundi Asset Management announced on the 25th that on the 11th, its executives and employees carried out volunteer work at “Myeongdong Babjip,” a free meal center operated by the One Body One Spirit Movement Headquarters under the Archdiocese of Seoul of the Catholic Church.
This volunteer activity was planned as part of the Pan-NongHyup “Warm Companionship for the New Year, Happy Sharing Relay” campaign. Affiliates of the Pan-NongHyup group are continuing social contribution activities to promote mutual growth with local communities in celebration of the New Year.
The executives and employees who participated in the volunteer work that day helped throughout the entire process, from preparing meals to serving and cleaning up the site for homeless people and seniors living alone. At the end of last year, NH-Amundi Asset Management donated 1,800kg of rice and carried out free meal service volunteer work, and has once again visited Myeongdong Babjip.
Gil Jeongseop, CEO of NH-Amundi Asset Management, said, “We decided to carry out this volunteer work to mark the New Year, in sympathy with Myeongdong Babjip’s belief that a single meal is a right that everyone should naturally enjoy,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in ESG (environmental, social and governance) management and social responsibility activities.”
As part of its ESG management, NH-Amundi Asset Management conducts farming-season manpower support activities at least four times a year, and also carries out various other social contribution activities such as free meal service volunteering and plogging.
