Samsung Electronics won two Gold Awards with "Music Studio 5" and the "Sustainable Home Appliance Consumables Advanced Concept (Samsung Home Appliances Accessories)." Including these, the company explained that it was recognized for outstanding design across all areas, winning 39 awards in Product, 14 in UX, 5 in Communication, 16 in Concept, and 3 in Service Design.

"Music Studio 5" is an object-type Wi-Fi speaker whose design was inspired by an orb and a dot. It looks like an art object in everyday settings, but its front uses a micro-perforation technique to deliver powerful sound. Samsung Electronics explained that it was recognized for excellence with a design that satisfies both robust audio performance and lifestyle interior design that blends naturally into its surroundings.

The "Sustainable Home Appliance Consumables Advanced Concept" is characterized by reprocessing waste materials left over from manufacturing home appliances into materials for appliance consumables, and by applying different colors according to the post-treatment method of the consumables to make them easy to recognize. For example, consumables such as air purifier filters and vacuum cleaner dust bags are classified as semi-permanent (gray), recyclable (green), and general waste (brown). This concept design also won a Gold Award at the "IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) 2024."

In addition, in the Product category, awards went to: the "Galaxy S25 Edge," which achieves an ultra-slim and ultra-lightweight design with a thickness of just 5.8 mm and a weight of 163 g, making it the thinnest in Galaxy S series history; "The Freestyle+," which provides an optimal, almost rectangular screen for the best viewing experience even when projected onto various surfaces such as three-sided corners and curved curtains; the "Infinite AI Combo," an all-in-one washer-dryer that performs washing and drying in a single cycle; and "Spatial Signage," which delivers vivid 3D depth without the need for thick hologram boxes or dedicated 3D glasses.

Outside of product design, "One UI 7," which offers an experience optimized for mobile AI, and the smart home feature "Home Insight," which analyzes the status of home appliances and user patterns to propose optimal solutions, were also selected for their outstanding design.

Mauro Porcini, Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Samsung Electronics, said, "Design is about creating experiences that permeate people's emotions and daily lives, going beyond products or customer experiences," adding, "We will continue to keep people at the center, further enhance and continuously expand more immersive customer experiences."
