LIG Nex1 to Unveil AI-Based Swarm UAVs for the First Time at DSK 2026

LIG Nex1 will unveil an integrated unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) solution at an international defense exhibition held in Busan.

LIG Nex1 announced that it will participate in "DSK 2026," which will be held at BEXCO in Busan for three days starting on the 25th, where it will showcase a UAV system that covers loitering munitions, reconnaissance, and transport.

The AI-based swarm UAVs being unveiled for the first time at this exhibition are drawing attention as a core solution for future combat systems. These UAVs are small loitering munition-type drones using a canister launch (multiple-launch) method that are currently being developed under the leadership of the Agency for Defense Development, and can be operated in swarms. LIG Nex1 is participating in the areas of system integration and AI.

Along with this, the main exhibits include: ▲ the Medium-class UAV Common Unified Platform (MCUP) ▲ a hybrid transport drone with a payload capacity of around 40 kg ▲ the Multipurpose Portable Drone (MPD), a small combined reconnaissance and strike drone ▲ and a dedicated integrated avionics system for Advanced Air Vehicles (AAVs) applicable to future Urban Air Mobility (UAM).

Technologies in the electro-optical field will also be introduced. The company will present EO/IR (electro-optical/infrared) systems for aircraft and the next-generation Electro-Optical Tracking System (EOTS) for tanks, emphasizing that these systems, designed to match platform and mission characteristics, enable stable target detection and tracking day and night and in diverse environments.

LIG Nex1 plans to contribute to building an advanced science-and-technology-driven military based on manned-unmanned teaming systems through integrated solutions that cover surveillance and reconnaissance, strike, and transport.
