Easing Household Burdens for Residents, Boosting Sales for Small Business Owners
In line with the central government's expansion of the 2026 Local Love Gift Certificate Issuance Support Program, Goseong-gun in South Gyeongsang Province will raise the discount rate for the Goseong Love Gift Certificate to 12% year-round.
As the central government is expanding its national budget support this year for the Local Love Gift Certificate Issuance Support Program, Goseong-gun has decided to actively respond by strengthening support for residents. Starting with the March issuance of 2.1 billion won, a 12% discount rate will be applied to all types of Goseong Love Gift Certificates (paper, mobile, and card).
From 9:00 a.m. on March 1, residents can purchase the mobile and card types through the Zero Pay app, financial institution apps, and the Local Love Gift Certificate "chak" app. From 9:00 a.m. on March 3, they can purchase the paper type at financial institutions within the county (excluding post offices). Sales are on a first-come, first-served basis and will end once the monthly issuance amount is sold out.
The county has maintained stable operation of the gift certificate program with a 10% year-round regular discount. In particular, the temporary 12% special discount implemented for the Lunar New Year holiday in February demonstrated its effectiveness in boosting local consumption, receiving a strong response from residents.
Lee Juyoul, head of the Economic and Corporate Affairs Division, said, "We will strive for stable issuance and management so that the Goseong Love Gift Certificate can serve as a reliable priming water for revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will continue to expand practical support policies that residents can truly feel in their daily lives."
