Paju City in Gyeonggi Province held an opening ceremony for the Unjeong Youth Center on the 24th and began full-scale operations.

About 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including Paju Mayor Kim Kyeongil, city and provincial council members, school principals, heads of institutions and organizations, and youth representatives, filling the event to capacity.

The event proceeded in the following order: congratulatory remarks by distinguished guests, congratulatory addresses, a response speech by youth, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a tour of the facilities. The facility tour was guided by youth representatives, and participants looked around the expanded culture, arts, hands-on, and leisure spaces in the center, expressing high expectations for its future direction of operation and programs.

The expanded Unjeong Youth Center has enlarged its space, which had previously been limited to the 2nd floor, to include the 4th and 7th floors. Its main facilities include a dance and cooking practice room, a band rehearsal room, an artificial intelligence (AI) practice room, and club rooms.

In addition, the "Future Imagination Artificial Intelligence (AI) Festa" festival, held to commemorate the opening, was very well received. In the newly established artificial intelligence (AI) practice room, young people directly experienced various Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as robot coding and virtual reality (VR), taking time to build their competencies for the future.

An official from Paju City said, "We are delighted that young people can now freely pursue their dreams in a wider and more pleasant space," adding, "We hope that at the Unjeong Youth Center, young people will communicate, grow, and envision a wonderful future."
