"We still believe in miracles," tearful plea

FBI announces separate 100,000-dollar reward
A famous American news anchor has offered a reward of 1 million dollars (about 1.44 billion won) to find her mother in her 80s, who went missing three weeks ago.
According to the Associated Press, the BBC and others on the 24th (local time), Savannah Guthrie, anchor of NBC’s "Today" show, posted a four-minute video on her social media that day and offered up to 1 million dollars to anyone who can help locate her mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84.

In the video, Savannah said, "My mother may already be gone," but appealed for help, adding, "We still believe in miracles. We believe my mother can come home."
The reward will be paid if a person provides decisive information that confirms Nancy’s whereabouts, regardless of whether the perpetrator is arrested or prosecuted. If multiple informants come forward, the 1 million dollars will be divided among them.
Masked assailant captured on camera... Bloodstains found at front entrance
Previously, Nancy returned to her home in Tucson, Arizona on the 31st of last month after dining with her family, but she went missing the next day after losing contact. At that time, CCTV near the front entrance of the home captured a masked assailant approaching.
After bloodstains were later found at the entrance, authorities began to place more weight on the possibility of a serious crime such as kidnapping, rather than a simple missing-person case. Once the incident became known, investigators deployed a large number of personnel to conduct a search. In particular, public comments on the case by President Donald Trump drew intense attention. However, more than three weeks later, Nancy’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Prime suspect once arrested but released... Investigation faces difficulties
During the investigation, a suspect was arrested on the 10th, but they were reportedly released after no clear evidence of wrongdoing was found. Separate from the reward offered by the family, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also announced that it would pay a reward of 100,000 dollars for information needed to locate the missing person or to arrest those involved.
Savannah and her family have been sending desperate messages, including posting videos on social media appealing directly to the kidnapper. Savannah said, "We are doing everything we can to keep the last embers of hope alive." So far, about 40,000 tips have been received, but Nancy’s whereabouts have not been confirmed for more than three weeks, and the case is showing signs of becoming a prolonged investigation despite nationwide attention in the United States.
