"Who Said 'A Shirt Over a Shirt' Looks Odd? This Spring It Is Different"

Samsung C&T Fashion Division Proposes SS Trend "Layered Styling"
Combining Essentials Like Shirts, Knits, and T-Shirts
Layered Styling Tips Revealed Across Various Brands

Samsung C&T Fashion Division is proposing "layered styling" as this year's Spring/Summer (SS) fashion trend, introducing new products from various brands along with styling tips.

On February 25, Samsung C&T Fashion Division announced that an analysis of search data from its online shopping platform SSF Shop, covering the period from January 1 to February 22, showed that searches for keywords related to "layered" increased by 89% compared with the same period a year earlier. Layered fashion, which allows individuals to freely express their own personality, is expected to stand at the peak of this year's trends. Demand for wearing multiple thin layers is rising due to highly volatile weather, and at the same time, consumers who do not want to give up style despite a frugal spending mindset are creating new combinations from items in their wardrobes to refresh their looks.

In line with this trend, the various brands under Samsung C&T Fashion Division are each proposing their own interpretations of layered styling.

Guho has presented refined styling that layers shirts or jackets in different colors. It has also differentiated the details by allowing the cuffs, collar, and hem of a shirt matched under a hooded outerwear piece to show naturally.

Beanpole Ladies has also suggested layered styling that reflects the brand's own sensibility. Looks that reimagine classic items with a modern touch, such as wearing a short-sleeve pique T-shirt over a shirt or combining a quarter-zip top with a striped shirt, have drawn attention.

8Seconds and Guho Plus have actively introduced products that ease the burden on consumers who find layered styling difficult. 8Seconds has planned items that achieve a layered effect with a single piece, offering a wide range including skirt pants, a T-shirt that combines three pieces in long-sleeve, short-sleeve, and sleeveless forms, and knits with added shirt details. Some items can be separated and worn individually, adding practicality.

Guho Plus is also seeing a positive response with its layered products. A Henley-neck T-shirt designed to look as if different garments have been layered has gone back into rapid reproduction after its launch.

Angae, a brand known as a "layered hot spot," has showcased original styling such as wrapping a tube top, which is usually worn as a top, around the waist as an accent. By moving beyond the fixed use of items, it has demonstrated the expandability of layering.

Meanwhile, Sand Sound has proposed free-form shirt layering. By layering a striped shirt over a checked shirt and fastening the buttons out of alignment, it has highlighted individual character.

A Samsung C&T Fashion Division representative said, "This spring, we expect to see even more diverse and creative layered styling than before," adding, "We recommend trying layered fashion that brings out dimensionality and focal points based on your own personality and preferences."
