Up to 200,000 won in points for those born in 2006 and 2007, depending on place of residence
Applicable not only to regular movies but also to Dolby and 4D premium theaters and performance recordings
Megabox announced on the 25th that it will participate in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's "2026 Youth Culture and Arts Pass" program to support cultural consumption by 19- to 20-year-olds.
This year, those born in 2006 and 2007 are eligible for the benefits. Depending on their place of residence, they receive points worth 150,000 won in the Seoul metropolitan area and 200,000 won in non-metropolitan areas. This allows them to visit the theater twice a year and four times a year, respectively.
The points can be freely used to reserve tickets not only for regular screenings, but also for performance recordings, live viewing, and virtual reality (VR) concerts. They can also be used in premium special auditoriums with higher ticket prices, such as Dolby Cinema, 4D, and recliner theaters.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Youth Culture and Arts Pass website until June 30. The issued points are immediately deducted at the payment stage on the Megabox app and website.
