About 100 people, including Mayor Bang Sehwan, members of the National Assembly, provincial and city council members, and local residents, attended the ceremony to celebrate the completion of the project.
Songjeong Sports Park is a neighborhood park created to expand resting spaces for local residents and improve the urban environment, with a total project cost of 36.9 billion won. On a site with a total area of 37,509.7 square meters, it has been developed into a space that supports sports and leisure activities by installing a multipurpose lawn yard, an outdoor stage, an observatory, rest facilities, and a barefoot trail.
The city expects that, because the park is located in the urban center with excellent accessibility and sits near the Songjeong District urban development project site, it will serve as a key hub along the everyday green axis of the living area.
Mayor Bang Sehwan said, "Songjeong Sports Park is more than just a park; it is a precious space where residents can feel rest and relaxation in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create everyday green spaces closely connected to citizens' lives that enhance their quality of life."
