Strengthening Cooperation to Nurture Local Talent
Kangwon Land (Acting CEO Choi Cheolkyu) announced that on the 24th, it signed an "ICT Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement" with Gangwon National University at the banquet hall of the High1 Resort hotel to promote ICT technology development in response to the era of AI convergence and to strengthen responses to cyber threats.

The signing ceremony was attended by Nam Hangyu, Head of Management Support at Kangwon Land, along with executives and employees, and by Moon Yangse, Dean of the IT College at Gangwon National University, and other officials.
This agreement was pursued to strengthen public institutions' capabilities in AI and cutting-edge ICT technologies, as well as their levels of information security and personal data protection, and to secure both data utilization and safety, at a time when AI- and data-driven digital transformation is accelerating.
Through the agreement, the two institutions plan to focus on: joint research and consulting in AI, cutting-edge ICT technologies, information security, and personal data protection; nurturing local talent through education and industry-academic training in AI, information security, and personal data protection; joint research and development on pending issues in ICT and information security; and identifying projects for the safe use of personal data and the provision of public data based on Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PET).
Nam Hangyu, Head of Management Support at Kangwon Land, said, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to strengthen our capabilities in cutting-edge ICT technologies, information security, and personal data protection in response to AI- and data-centered digital transformation," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to promote trust-based innovation in public data through mutual cooperation."
Going forward, the two institutions plan to expand cooperation in AI, information security, and personal data protection through regular forums and joint research projects, contributing to region-based digital innovation and the development of skilled professionals.
