In particular, during this board meeting, the Foundation shared the outcomes of customized support policies for small business owners implemented over the past year, such as the "Smart Online Sales Channel Development Support Project" and "One-on-One Financial Consulting."
In addition, the board highly evaluated how festivals utilizing local brands, such as the "Masinneun Guri Festival" and the "Waguri Kimchi-Making Festival," have invigorated neighborhood commercial districts in Guri City, and agreed to continue building on these achievements this year.
This year, the Foundation plans to prioritize "sustainable growth" and "enhancement of digital competitiveness" for small business owners and to promote a variety of new projects that can respond to rapidly changing consumption trends.
The Foundation stated, "Despite the difficult conditions of last year's economic downturn, we have worked tirelessly to provide small business owners with tangible hope," adding, "In 2026, we will continue to actively reflect voices from the field in our revitalization projects and fully serve as a strong pillar of support so that merchants can respond proactively to the changing environment."
Meanwhile, based on the supplementary budget finalized at this board meeting, the Foundation plans to more swiftly carry out revitalization projects that leverage the unique characteristics of Guri City's local commercial districts.
