GH Awards 14 Million Won in Prizes to Winners of Youth Build-Up Startup Competition

Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) held the final screening and awards ceremony for the "2025 GH Youth Build-Up Startup Competition" on the 24th, an initiative designed to discover youth startup ideas and promote entrepreneurial activity among young people.

Held under the slogan "Building Up Youth Ideas, Building Up the Future of Gyeonggi Province!", the competition drew enthusiastic participation, with 104 teams applying after registration opened in January. GH selected a total of 30 teams, including 10 teams for the finals and 20 additional prize-winning teams, through the first-round document screening.

GH decided to award a total of 14 million won in prize money to the 30 selected teams and to grant additional points when they apply to move into the "GH Startup-Specialized Housing," which is scheduled to open in the second half of this year.

Through this, young entrepreneurs will be able to secure a stable startup base that combines residential and work space.

The "Startup-Specialized Housing," which is under construction in Gwonsun-dong, Suwon, is a complex residential model consisting of 210 rental housing units and 4 shared office units. In addition to low rent, GH plans to provide various free programs to support the growth of resident companies, including accelerating, marketing, and certification training.

GH President Kim Yongjin said, "Through this competition, we were able to see the creative and innovative ideas of young entrepreneurs," adding, "GH will continue to expand its support to promote youth entrepreneurship and to build a stable foundation for startups."
