[Tomorrow's Weather] Watch for Icy Roads in Gwangju and Jeonnam After the Rain...Daytime Highs Up to 16 Degrees On the 25th, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province were forecast to have mostly clear skies as the rain from the previous day had ended. On the 25th, Gwangju and the Jeonnam region are expected to see mostly clear skies as the rain that fell the previous day stops, but icy patches are forecast to form in many areas during the morning commute, requiring extra caution for traffic safety.

According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 24th, the rain that had been falling over Gwangju and Jeonnam will mostly stop this evening, and tomorrow, the 25th, is expected to remain clear throughout the day.

Temperatures are forecast to stay mild for the time being, remaining similar to or slightly higher than the seasonal averages (lows of -2 to 2 degrees Celsius and highs of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius). The Korea Meteorological Administration expects the morning low on the 25th to range from -1 to 5 degrees Celsius and the daytime high to range from 8 to 16 degrees Celsius, with a large difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures.

Fierce winds will blow mainly along the coast. As of the afternoon of the 24th, a strong wind advisory was in effect for Geomundo and Chodo, and strong winds with instantaneous speeds of around 15 meters per second are expected to blow along the southern coast of Jeonnam through the 25th.

Waves at sea will also be very high, making it necessary to prepare for maritime safety accidents. A high seas advisory has been issued for the offshore waters of the southern part of the West Sea and the western offshore waters of the South Sea. In the southern part of the West Sea, strong winds of 9 to 15 meters per second and rough seas are expected through the 25th, and in the western part of the South Sea through the 26th.

An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "People should pay attention to traffic safety during the morning commute and to fall accidents involving pedestrians," adding, "As very strong winds are expected mainly along the coast, please also take thorough care in managing outdoor facilities."
