Yeongcheon City Selected as an Excellent Institution in the 2025 Local Government Innovation Assessment...Top Rating Among Cities in North Gyeongsang Province

Sweeping Both the Anti-Corruption Integrity Index and the Interior Ministry Innovation Assessment, Fruition of "Innovative Administration"

Yeongcheon City (Mayor Choi Kimoon) has proven its administrative innovation capabilities by being selected as an excellent institution in the “2025 Local Government Innovation Assessment” organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In particular, among city-level local governments in North Gyeongsang Province, it achieved the highest rating alongside Gumi City, recording a standout performance.

According to Yeongcheon City on February 24, this assessment measured the overall innovation efforts of 243 local governments nationwide, including innovation capacity, innovation outcomes, and autonomous indicators.

Yeongcheon City received high scores in most of the 10 assessment indicators in total, moving up one level from a “Normal” rating last year to an “Excellent” rating this year.

Major innovation cases include: ▲ establishing the first full-scale call recording and long-duration civil complaint response call termination system in North Gyeongsang Province ▲ attracting investment to the High-Tech Park District ▲ attracting the second Hanmin High School ▲ a region-specialized lease-type smart farm project ▲ operation of the Smart City Integrated Control Center.
