Gilon X Seoul 50 Plus Foundation Sign MOU to Cooperate on Operating a Healthcare Program for Middle-Aged Adults in Seoul Provided by Gilon

Digital healthcare solution specialist Gilon Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Namsun) has signed a business agreement with the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation (CEO Kang Myeong) to cooperate on operating a healthcare program for middle-aged and older adults in Seoul.

The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation is launching a new healthcare program called "Health Mongttang" for the first time this year, to help the middle-aged generation maintain sustainable work and life based on a healthy body. In particular, this year the foundation has introduced a walking-based digital healthcare solution and established a system to analyze and evaluate exercise effects using data.

The middle-aged generation is at a stage where physical abilities begin to decline and aging-related changes in bodily functions start to appear. The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation plans to use SOLION Care, a smart insole-based walking and sarcopenia assessment device supplied by Gilon, to conduct walking and sarcopenia assessments for middle-aged participants in the Health Mongttang program.

Gilon owns I-SOL, a wearable product for gait analysis and evaluation, and SOLION, medical equipment for walking, physical assessment, and sarcopenia assessment. The company is currently in discussions with about 30 medical institutions and public organizations for additional equipment supply, and is jointly developing an AI solution for predicting and diagnosing walking-based geriatric diseases with Yongin Severance Hospital and KAIST.

Gilon plans to apply its AI solution for predicting and diagnosing walking-based geriatric diseases to its wearable products I-SOL and SOLION, whose durability in daily life has been verified. By doing so, the company aims to provide a service that can predict geriatric diseases such as Parkinson's disease early during daily life, enabling rapid hospital visits and early treatment, and to offer an AI-powered medical diagnostic support solution that can assist in diagnosing conditions such as Parkinson's disease and stroke.

Gilon CEO Kim Namsun said, "In a super-aged society, managing physical abilities, not just cognitive abilities, is most important for improving the quality of life of older adults," adding, "The supplied SOLION Care will be actively utilized together with the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation's healthcare operation program to help manage middle-aged people's physical condition, walking, and sarcopenia assessments, thereby contributing to improving their quality of life. We will provide active support to ensure this."

He added, "Going forward, we aim to become a digital healthcare solution company that expands the supply of AI solutions for predicting and assessing geriatric diseases to easily accessible public institutions, thereby improving quality of life through faster hospital visits and early diagnosis and treatment, and reducing social costs."
