Naju City Successfully Concludes the "23rd Naju Mayor's Cup Badminton Tournament"

Naju City in South Jeolla Province successfully held the "23rd Naju Mayor's Cup Badminton Tournament" to promote citizens' recreational sports and foster community unity, reaffirming its status as a healthy sports city.


Naju City announced on the 24th that it had successfully concluded the "23rd Naju Mayor's Cup Badminton Tournament," which was held on the 22nd at the Naju Bandabi Sports Center.


This tournament was hosted and organized by the Naju Badminton Association. Around 250 people, including badminton enthusiasts and officials from 12 clubs in the region, took part in heated competition.


The event featured an opening ceremony, congratulatory remarks, awards for meritorious service, an athletes' oath, and a prize draw. Participating players showcased the skills they had honed over time through age-group matches.


It became a meaningful occasion to strengthen friendship between generations and clubs through sports, and to reinforce the bonds within the local community.


In the overall rankings, Namsan Club took first place, followed by Bitgaram Club in second place and Geumcheon Club in third place.


Each club received loud applause from the audience for its organized teamwork and outstanding performance.


An official from Naju City said, "We hope this tournament will serve as an opportunity for citizens to communicate with one another and enjoy a healthy leisure culture," adding, "We will continue to provide support to expand the base of recreational sports and to improve citizens' health."
