Uiryeong-gun Holds "Next Year's National and Provincial Budget-Securing Strategy Briefing"

Full-Scale Response Launched with Goal of Securing 189.3 Billion Won

Uiryeong-gun in South Gyeongsang Province has begun full-scale efforts with the goal of securing 189.3 billion won in national and provincial funds for 2027.


On the 23rd, the county held the "2027 National and Provincial Budget-Securing Strategy Briefing" in the county office conference room, reviewing new projects and key priority projects aligned with the policy directions of the central government and South Gyeongsang Province.

This briefing was organized to review the feasibility, issues, and future response strategies of projects that will newly begin in 2027 or require strategic responses, excluding routine ongoing projects.


At the meeting, the target amount for securing national and provincial funds for 2027 was set at 189.3 billion won, an increase of 5.6 billion won from this year.


Major new projects identified by each department include 31 projects totaling 176.8 billion won, such as the Ikgu 2 District Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (11.2 billion won), the Singi District Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (34.6 billion won), the Ocheon District Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (29.7 billion won), and the Uiryeong Life Station Urban Regeneration Public Contest Project (12 billion won).


County Governor Oh Taewan said, "We will concentrate our administrative capabilities on strategically identifying projects and securing national and provincial funds to improve the quality of life for our residents."


Meanwhile, Uiryeong-gun plans to complete applications for national and provincial projects in March and respond preemptively through the stage of reflecting them in the government’s draft budget in April and May.
