KB Kookmin Card Launches "KB Small Business Owner Special Saessak Loan Card"

The newly introduced "KB Small Business Owner Special Saessak Loan Card" is a product designed to improve financial accessibility for sole proprietors who have had difficulty using institutional financial services due to low credit scores or a history of debt restructuring.

This product is a financial product specialized in business recovery support, designed to help customers secure a stable means of payment even in situations of temporary liquidity shortages.

Eligible applicants are sole proprietors in the bottom 50% credit bracket who have annual disposable income of at least 6 million won and have no current delinquencies. It also includes those who have been faithfully implementing debt restructuring programs such as credit recovery, personal rehabilitation, or the New Start Fund for at least six months.

After completing credit management education and signing a guarantee agreement through the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, customers can apply for card issuance starting on the 27th. The monthly credit limit ranges from 3 million won to 5 million won, and the guarantee fee charged by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is fully waived.

The card benefits are structured to provide practical support for business operations. Regardless of the previous month's spending, a 0.5% statement discount is offered on domestic merchant transactions, and if at least 300,000 won is spent in the previous month, an additional 0.5% statement discount is applied at supermarkets, marts, convenience stores, and other business categories preferred by small business owners. The maximum monthly discount is 20,000 won, and the annual fee is 10,000 won.

In line with the policy nature of the product, use of the card is restricted for short-term card loans (cash advances), long-term card loans (card loans), revolving payment arrangements, payment deferrals, overseas transactions, and the purchase and recharge of gift certificates and prepaid cards, as well as at golf courses, entertainment venues, and gambling-related businesses. Installment payments are only available for up to six months.

A KB Kookmin Card official stated, "We have continued to expand financial products and services to support small business owners and local commercial districts, including those in provincial regions, such as by launching the Onnuri Card for traditional markets last year," adding, "We will expand various inclusive finance programs to support the recovery and sales rebound of small business owners who are struggling due to high inflation and an economic slowdown."
