Recruitment from February 23 to March 23... Training soy food specialists for food industry professionals
Special study tour of the U.S. soybean industry offered to outstanding graduates
The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) announced that it will run the "2026 Soy Food Master Program" to promote the value of soy foods and share professional knowledge with workers in the domestic food industry.
Now in its fifth year, the Soy Food Master Program is a professional course supported by the Ohio Soybean Council (OSC), the Wisconsin Soybean Association (WSA), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Participants can systematically learn about the nutritional value of soybeans, the sustainability of U.S. soy, and how to use soy food recipes from various countries, and the program has established itself as an essential course in the food industry.
This 2026 program will recruit participants from Monday, February 23 to Monday, March 23, and has significantly enhanced its online networking functions so that industry experts can communicate without constraints of time and place.
In particular, this year a variety of online events will be offered to boost participants' motivation to learn. During the course, events such as a "Soy Knowledge Quiz" will help participants enjoy acquiring information while interacting with one another.
In addition, a "Soy Food Recipe Contest" will be held, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their expertise. Those who propose creative soy-based recipes based on what they have learned will receive separate awards, and the online platform will provide opportunities to share innovative ideas with food professionals from various fields.
Participants will take specialized online lectures on the scientific evidence behind soy foods and their contribution to health, followed by a certification exam. Those who pass the exam will receive a "Soy Food Master" certificate, and participants with high engagement and excellent grades will be given a free opportunity to join a U.S. study tour program to visit the U.S. soybean industry on site.
A representative of the U.S. Soybean Export Council said, "The 2026 program is designed to help busy food industry professionals efficiently build expertise online and enjoy networking through various events such as quizzes and recipe contests," adding, "We look forward to the participation of many professionals who wish to deepen their expertise in soy foods and expand their careers."
The program is open to anyone working in the food industry, including food manufacturing and processing, restaurant businesses, and dietitians. Detailed registration procedures and the training schedule can be found on the official Soy Food Master website.
