Samwha Capacitor is on an upward trend on expectations of price hikes for multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs).
As of 9:20 a.m. on the 24th, Samwha Capacitor was trading at 66,700 won, up 17.02% (9,700 won) from the previous trading day.
iM Securities raised its target price for Samwha Capacitor in a report released the previous day from 34,500 won to 51,000 won, while maintaining its Buy investment opinion.
Lee Sang-heon, an analyst at iM Securities, said, "This year, Samwha Capacitor's consolidated sales are expected to reach 323 billion won and operating profit 20.3 billion won, making performance improvement visible," adding, "This is because profitability is expected to recover, driven by anticipated MLCC price increases and sales growth of DC link capacitors (DCLC) for power conversion."
