Cadillac announced on the 24th that it has begun sales of its flagship luxury SUV, the "2026 The New Escalade," which is equipped with the hands-free driving assistance system "Super Cruise."
While retaining the powerful performance that is characteristic of the Escalade, the model maximizes driving convenience and safety by adding Super Cruise, Tmap Connected Service, and a traffic sign recognition function. Super Cruise was first introduced in Korea last year on the electrified model "Escalade IQ" and has now been expanded to The New Escalade, while Tmap Connected Service has been installed for the first time among Cadillac models.
Super Cruise is an innovative hands-free driver assistance system that supports driving and automatic lane changes without steering wheel operation on approximately 23,000 km of expressways in Korea. Based on high-precision road data and multi-sensor fusion technology (camera, radar, GPS), it safely controls the vehicle even in complex driving environments, such as curved roads and construction zones.
Developed exclusively for Korean customers, Tmap Connected Service intuitively displays real-time traffic information and optimal routes on the central infotainment screen and instrument cluster without the need for smartphone connectivity. By increasing the menu options that show maps and route information within the cluster display, it minimizes driver distraction while driving and helps ensure stable driving.
The Traffic Sign Recognition (TRS) function is designed to help the driver recognize the speed limit on the road being driven. It displays the speed limit in the cluster using camera and navigation information. When cruise control is activated, the vehicle’s cruise speed is automatically adjusted based on the speed limit signs (Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control).
Linked with an advanced Augmented Reality (AR) camera, the system provides intuitive route guidance overlaid on the live road view captured by the front camera, even at complex intersections and junctions, and supports automatic route recalculation that reflects real-time traffic conditions. Using the voice recognition service "Nugu Auto," major vehicle functions such as navigation, music, and climate control can be operated hands-free.
The "AKG Studio Reference Sound System" applied to The New Escalade consists of up to 42 speakers and supports independent sound settings for the first and second rows, delivering a higher level of immersive audio experience. A 55-inch Horizon Curved LED display (a 35-inch 8K driver display and a 20-inch 4K passenger display) is installed, offering an overwhelming visual experience.
On the long-wheelbase ESV model, the "Second-Row Executive Seat Package," which provides top-tier protocol-grade comfort, comes as standard. It integrates premium 14-way power seats with massage function, a second-row command center, stowable tray tables, dual wireless charging pads, and other top-level convenience features to create a VIP lounge where occupants can work perfectly and relax comfortably while on the move.
The vehicle is equipped with a 6.2L V8 gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 426 horsepower and a peak torque of 63.6 kg·m, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, which analyzes the road surface 1,000 times per second, is combined with an Adaptive Air Ride Suspension to deliver optimal ride comfort and handling. The Dynamic Fuel Management system, which optimizes cylinder activation patterns according to driving conditions, satisfies both powerful performance and efficiency.
The New Escalade is launched in a standard version and a long-wheelbase ESV version. The selling prices, based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax rate, are 168,070,000 won for the standard model and 190,070,000 won for the ESV.
