Medicube App "Age-R" Surpasses 1.5 Million Cumulative Global Downloads

APR announced on the 24th that the mobile app for its Medicube brand, "Age-R," surpassed 1.5 million cumulative global downloads as of last month.


This means 500,000 downloads were added in just eight months after reaching 1 million in May 2025, doubling the figure from January last year. Age-R is a dedicated app used in conjunction with the Medicube beauty device "AGE-R," and as device sales expand, demand for the app is also increasing in tandem.


The global cumulative sales volume of Age-R devices exceeded 6 million units as of January 2026, with 1 million units added in roughly one quarter after hitting 5 million in September 2025. This is analyzed as strong year-end peak-season device sales leading to increased app usage.

User metrics are also on a steadily rising trend. Since a full revamp in the fourth quarter of 2023 to improve user convenience and the launch of the "Age-R 2.0" version, the Age-R app has continued to upgrade its features, with monthly active users (MAU) increasing from 210,000 in January 2025 to more than 300,000 in January 2026.


APR is enhancing various user participation-based content and reward programs to strengthen the platform competitiveness of the Age-R app. It is increasing in-app dwell time and utilization by operating "Medicube Talk," a user community function; "Age-R TV," which provides skincare and skin-care information via video; and "Point Shop," where users can spend accumulated points like cash on the official Medicube online mall. In addition, APR is expanding user experience through interactive point programs such as daily check-in, weekly challenges, Age-R Friends, and Elephant Game, alongside giveaway events for devices and skincare products.


An APR representative said, "Demand for the companion app continues to grow in line with the expansion of Age-R device sales," adding, "We plan to further solidify the competitiveness of our integrated beauty platform that combines Age-R devices and the app by continuing to improve user convenience and strengthen our content offerings."
