[Tomorrow's Weather] Rain and Snow Across Most of the Country... Morning Lows Below Freezing

Expected Rainfall of Around 1 mm in the Seoul Metropolitan Area

On Tuesday the 24th, rain or snow is expected over most parts of the country. In some areas, the morning low will remain below freezing.


The expected snowfall is around 1 cm in southern Gyeonggi, Daejeon, Sejong, and eastern South Chungcheong; 1 to 5 cm in Gangwon, North Chungcheong, and eastern North Jeolla; and 3 to 8 cm in the Gyeongsang region.


The expected rainfall is 20 to 80 mm on Jeju Island; 10 to 40 mm in Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang; 5 to 30 mm in Daegu and southern North Gyeongsang; 5 to 30 mm in Gwangju and South Jeolla; 5 to 20 mm in North Jeolla; 5 to 10 mm in the Chungcheong region; around 5 mm along the East Sea coast and in the mountainous areas of Gangwon; and around 1 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area.


The morning low will range from -6 to 5 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high will range from 3 to 10 degrees Celsius. By region, the forecast lows and highs (in degrees Celsius) are: Seoul -1 to 5; Incheon -1 to 4; Suwon -1 to 5; Chuncheon -4 to 7; Gangneung 4 to 8; Cheongju 1 to 5; Daejeon 0 to 5; Sejong -1 to 5; Jeonju 1 to 5; Gwangju 1 to 8; Daegu 1 to 6; Busan 5 to 10; Ulsan 2 to 8; Changwon 3 to 6; Jeju 7 to 12.


Waves will range from 0.5 to 3.0 meters off the east and south coasts, and from 0.5 to 2.0 meters off the west coast. In the outer coastal waters (within about 200 km of the shoreline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East and West Seas, and 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
