Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation Offers 600,000 to 800,000 Won in Bus Rental Subsidies for Group Tourists of 30 or More Visiting North Gyeongsang Province

Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Namil) announced on February 22 that it will promote the "Bus Tour to Gyeongbuk" project to attract group tourists visiting North Gyeongsang Province.


This project is a group tourism promotion program that has been implemented since 2019. When a group of 30 or more travelers visits tourist attractions in North Gyeongsang Province, local festival venues, or traditional markets, the program provides subsidies for chartered bus rental fees.

The support is offered to institutions, general groups, and travel agencies, and they must spend at least 300,000 won on accommodation, meals, admission fees, and other expenses within the travel area. In addition, all participants are required to purchase travel insurance in advance.


The chartered bus rental subsidy varies by departure area: 600,000 won for departures from the Gyeongbuk and Daegu area, 800,000 won for the capital region (Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi), and 700,000 won for other regions.


Applications for support will be accepted online (via Naver Form) from 10:00 a.m. on March 9, and the travel period will run from March 13 to May 31. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and may close early if the budget is exhausted. The selection results will be individually notified to the applicants.


After the trip, applicants can download the subsidy application form attached to the notice on the corporation's website and submit it by mail together with supporting documents to receive the subsidy. Detailed information is available on the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation website.


President Kim Namil of Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation said, "The more group trips that lead to visits to tourist attractions and local spending, the more substantial help they provide to the region," adding, "We hope that this support program will encourage more people to visit North Gyeongsang Province's on-site tourism content, including its various festival venues and traditional markets."
