LG Uplus to Showcase "Human-Centered AI" at MWC and Seek Collaboration with Big Tech

Operating a 264-pyeong Independent Exhibition Hall
Showcasing Technologies Including IXIO, AICC, AIDC, and Autonomous Networks

LG Uplus announced on the 22nd that it will participate in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 26, the world's largest telecommunications exhibition, to showcase AI-based future technologies. The core theme of this year's exhibition is "Human-Centered AI," and the company plans to present its vision of the future created through technologies and services that connect people to people.


MWC26, which will be held from March 2 to 5 (local time), will feature participation from about 2,900 companies from 205 countries around the world. This year marks the 20th anniversary of MWC, and the organizer, the GSM Association (GSMA), has set this year's overarching theme as "The IQ Era."

LG Uplus will set up its exhibition hall with "Human-Centered AI" as the core theme. The booth will be located at the center of Hall 3 and will cover an area of 872 square meters (approximately 264 pyeong). There, LG Uplus will present its future vision that combines its AI agent "IXIO" with physical AI. Following the operation of its first independent booth at last year's MWC, LG Uplus is participating for the second consecutive year.


In addition, the LG Uplus exhibition hall will feature customized AICC, AIDC, "Autonomous NW," which applies AI across the entire network to make decisions and take actions on its own, the security solution brand "IXGuardian 2.0," a voice phishing prevention and response solution that combines telecommunications and finance, and "Sovereign AI," developed in collaboration with LG AI Research Institute and Furiosa.


The core theme of MWC26, "Human-Centered AI," will be visually realized through a hyper-personalized media art exhibition. LG Uplus plans to offer a digital experience that fuses AI and art in collaboration with Universal Everything, a UK-based global media art group.


Joon Young Jang, Head of Marketing Group (Executive Director) at LG Uplus, said, "Following last year, we will once again introduce differentiated technologies and services such as IXIO, AICC, AIDC, and Autonomous NW to visitors at MWC," adding, "By showcasing technologies that connect people to people through human-centered AI, we will let the world know about LG Uplus's efforts to create a brighter world."


Meanwhile, Hong Beomshik, CEO of LG Uplus, will deliver a keynote speech on the 2nd to mark the opening of MWC26. Under the theme of "Human-Centered AI," Hong will speak about the full-fledged era of AI call agents. Key executives of LG Uplus also plan to explore the services and technologies of various companies from around the world and discuss cooperation with global big tech companies in a wide range of fields, including AI, networks, and platforms.
