The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on the 21st that the previous day they had summoned Lee as a suspect on charges including violations of the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and the Act on the Control of Narcotics, etc., for psychotropic substances.

Lee is suspected of administering IV injections to Park in private spaces such as an officetel and a vehicle, and of prescribing antidepressants, all without holding a medical license in Korea.

At the end of last year, the police imposed an overseas travel ban on Lee and conducted searches and seizures of her residence and other related locations.

Around 3:00 p.m. the previous day, the police also summoned Park as a suspect on charges including aggravated assault and violation of the Medical Service Act, and questioned her for about 7 hours and 40 minutes.

After the questioning, Park said, "I once again apologize for causing concern with these uncomfortable matters of mine." Regarding the allegation that she abused her manager, she said, "I believe that will be clarified later through the investigation. Any parts that are not true must be corrected, and I expect they will be corrected."

She did not answer questions such as whether she admitted to the alleged illegal drug use, and instead said, "It's late, but I wish you a happy New Year," before getting into a vehicle.
