Woori Bank announced on February 20 that on February 19 it signed a joint marketing business agreement with Samsung Electronics and LG Uplus to attract customers from the 1020 future generation.
This agreement was prepared to provide financial services tailored to the lifestyle of the 1020 generation, who are familiar with the mobile environment, and to expand digital customer touchpoints, through cooperation among the three companies in the finance, mobile, and telecommunications sectors. The signing ceremony was held on the 19th at Woori Bank’s headquarters, and was attended by key officials from the three companies, including Woori Bank President Jung Jinwan, Im Sungtaek, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, and Lee Jaewon, Executive Vice President of LG Uplus.
Through this partnership, the three companies plan to promote collaboration in areas such as: joint marketing and promotions targeting the 1020 segment; promotion of the “Samsung Wallet Money” service; and special mobile phone offers for Woori Bank customers. In particular, they focused on joint marketing that provides tangible benefits, especially for the 1020 generation, who actively use mobile and easy payment services. President Jung said, “This collaboration is intended to provide a differentiated experience to future-generation customers by combining mobile and telecommunications services with financial services,” adding, “We will continue to expand our contact points with future-generation customers through strategic partnerships with various industries.”
